For my birthday, Lisa organized a three day ski trip for me to Perisher while she nicely stayed home and looked after the kids.  I went with Tony and Matt from Newcastle and we had a great time.  Got a good mix of weather – sun on the first day, rain on the second and snow on the third.  The rain was a bit miserable and we discovered just how waterproof our ski gear was (not particularly) but it made the last day skiing on fresh snow all the better.  It’s a pity we had to leave half way through the day to drive home.  Isabel is keen on going now so we’ll have to organize a family trip next year.

Lisa and Alexander were photographed again for the newspaper.  This time they were accepting a grant cheque on behalf of the ABA from the Gold Coast City Council.  Isabel was supervising the photographer but enjoyed the morning tea.

Jaron’s Birthday

My business partner Steve’s son Jaron had a pirate themed birthday party so Isabel decided she wanted to turn up in a fairy dress.  Ah well, she had a good time.  Lisa and I were a little bit tired as this was the day after our big night out at the 1920’s party.  We all went home for a big sleep in the afternoon.

The Gold Coast Children’s Society raise lots of money for kids on the Gold Coast and this year have chosen the Mothers Milk Bank as their beneficiary.  Therefore we got invited along to their big fundraising night.  This year it was a 1920’s theme and was lots of fun, although we won more items on the silent auction than we were planning on.  Ah well, it’s all for a good cause.  A big thanks to Mum and Dad for coming down from the Sunshine Coast to look after the kids while we were out.  It made it a lot easier.
